I’d like to request that on the VPilot Settings/Audio page that a test button be implemented such that it plays a test tone in the selected audio output.
Why? My computer has a couple of output audio jacks, and at least once I had the wrong output selected in VPilot (i.e. different than the Windows-selected audio output). I was on UNICOM with only a couple of planes nearby, and was wondering why none of the pilots were talking. I later realized they could probably hear me, but I could not hear them. Glad I didn’t get .wallopped. :-/
I don’t see an easy way to test that one’s audio-out selection is correct, other than being in range and listening into a controller or better yet an ATIS frequency, but that’s not an option when nothing is nearby.
