Hello, everytime I log into vatsim using vpilot, I get shifted left, right, up or down on the radar, same thing goes with all other aircraft in the server, this has been happening to me for a week now and I don’t know how to fix it. For example, If I were to spawn at stand F36 at LOWW (Vienna) the radar will show me inside the terminal and btw, this isn’t mainly at LOWW, it happens to me in all other airports so I don’t think it has to do with the scenery. idk if it’s vpilot or fsx is causing this but if you know something or want screenshots or videos, feel free to reply.
P.S. I use fsx because my laptop ain’t strong enough to run xplane or fs2020
It’s FSX. FSX is old and the world map + airport data aren’t particularly accurate in places. The only solution to this (besides using a modern simulator) is to download and install proper scenery (or at least a proper AFCAD file) for the airports where FSX’s default data is too inaccurate.
I had the same problem with FS9 and FSX. Although I’m in the right place at an airport, all other aircraft are about 20 feet below me. Haven’t been able to fix it in spite of much help from Vatsim crew.
I recommend the use of the Avsim download library for free updates of airport AFCAD files. You don’t need the full scenery, these AFCAD files will generally make everything a lot more accurate than the default. As a bonus, you can make a single add-on folder and throw all the different airport’s BGLs in that one folder. This one will probably sort out LOWW for you: AVSIM Library
Of course, I can’t imagine there are a lot of people making these any more, so you’ll probably find that airports which have changed IRL in the last 5-10 years will still be “wrong” to people with newer sims.
