Vatsim radar freezing my sim

Hello
I’m hoping someone can help me. When i’m in flight if i open the Vatsim Radar Map it freezes my flight. It does unfreeze after around 2 minutes but i then loose control of my airplane.

Has anyone experienced this and if so is there a fix for it? i’m running MSFS 2024.

Is it possible that I your sim you have set it to pause when not active. I know that was an issue in earlier versions. I don’t have the latest but might be worth checking in your settings. Maybe try open a browser or other app and see if it does same thing.

i can open other apps or browsers and my sim doesn’t react. It seems to only freeze when i open Vatsim Radar.

There could be many reasons why this happens, especially if you have a lower-end PC. You could try to add your browser to ‘Graphics performance preferences’ in Windows. Once added, set it to ‘power savings’. It may help/ Good luck! :slight_smile:
