Position Duties:

The ATC Training Director is responsible for managing and overseeing the ATC training program of Pakistan vACC. The role focuses on delivering structured, high-quality, and policy-compliant training for all ATC students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the vACC’s ATC training department, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Supervising and supporting mentors and instructors to provide consistent and effective training.
  • Developing and maintaining local training materials, SOPs, and documentation aligned with VATSIM and VATWA standards.
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate training records.
  • Organizing theory sessions, sweatbox simulations, and practical assessments to support student advancement.
  • Coordinating appointments of mentors and instructors with the vACC Director and Deputy Director.
  • Ensuring timely communication and support for all ATC students throughout their training journey.
  • Contributing to continuous improvements in the training program through internal feedback and innovation.
  • Performing other training-related duties as assigned by the vACC Director.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

  • Hold a minimum rating of Student 3 (S3) on the VATSIM network.
  • Have experience in mentoring, training, or similar instructional roles.
  • Be familiar with VATSIM and VATWA ATC operations, policies, and training requirements.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English; Urdu proficiency is a plus.
  • Be an active member of VATWA Division & Pakistan vACC, or willing to transfer upon selection.
  • Be able to dedicate 5–6 hours per week to training-related responsibilities.
  • Be in good standing on the VATSIM network.
  • Be willing to commit to the role for a minimum term of one year.
