I’ve just completely reworked VatNotif - a website which allows you to track controller callsigns and receive discord notifications when they come online!
How to use it
- Head over to https://vatnotif.kristn.co.uk/ and log in with your VATSIM account
- Go to the dashboard and enter callsigns you want to receive notifications for
- After setting up your callsigns, head over to the embed configuration page, a default logon & logoff embeds have been generated for you by default. The only thing you need to do is add a Webhook URL, how to create one can be found here. You are able to create as many logon/logoff embeds as you wish and configure them to your liking utilising the variables.
You should never include double underscores in your callsign, only watch the standard version and you’ll receive notifications for both. A wild card in the form of percent sign (%) can be used to match any number of characters. For example, if you want to track all positions at London Heathrow, you can use the wildcard EGLL_% and all positions from Ground (EGLL_1_GND) up to Radar (EGLL_N_APP) will be tracked.
That’s it, you’ll now never miss another staffup again!
