Director, Singapore vACC (ACCSGP1)

Job Description:
The vACC Director oversees the operations and management of a Virtual Area Control Center (vACC) within the VATSIM network. This role requires leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure the vACC functions effectively while adhering to VATSIM/VATSEA policies and standards.

Division Director, VATSEA


Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership:

Provide visionary leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

Set clear goals and objectives aligned with VATSIM’s mission and values.

Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the vACC.

2. Administration:

Manage administrative aspects like membership applications, training programs, and disciplinary actions (can be delegated).

Ensure compliance with VATSIM policies.

Maintain accurate records of member activity, training progress, and statistics.

Submit quarterly reports to the Division on time.

3. Communication:

Act as the primary contact between the vACC and VATSEA.

Communicate regularly with members, providing updates and guidance.

Promote effective communication within the vACC to encourage teamwork.

4. Operations Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations, including ATC scheduling, event planning, and airspace management.


Position Requirements:

Reside in Singapore vACC (Southeast Asia Division) for at least one year.

Ideally hold a C1 rating (higher ratings considered a plus).

Be a member in good standing within VATSIM (no serious disciplinary action in the last 6 months).

P1 rating is a plus, but not mandatory.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to work independently and in a team.

Commit sufficient time to fulfill the role’s responsibilities.

Preferably does not hold any other staff roles in VATSIM, especially outside of VATSEA division.
