Job Description:
The vACC Director oversees the operations and management of a Virtual Area Control Center (vACC) within the VATSIM network. This role requires leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure the vACC functions effectively while adhering to VATSIM/VATSEA policies and standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Set clear goals and objectives aligned with VATSIM’s mission and values.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the vACC.
2. Administration:
- Manage administrative aspects like membership applications, training programs, and disciplinary actions (can be delegated).
- Ensure compliance with VATSIM policies.
- Maintain accurate records of member activity, training progress, and statistics.
- Submit quarterly reports to the Division on time.
3. Communication:
- Act as the primary contact between the vACC and VATSEA.
- Communicate regularly with members, providing updates and guidance.
- Promote effective communication within the vACC to encourage teamwork.
4. Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including ATC scheduling, event planning, and airspace management.
Position Requirements:
- Reside in Hong Kong vACC (Southeast Asia Division) for at least one year.
- Ideally hold a C1 rating (higher ratings considered a plus).
- Be a member in good standing within VATSIM (no serious disciplinary action in the last 6 months).
- P1 rating is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Commit sufficient time to fulfill the role’s responsibilities.
- Preferably does not hold any other staff roles in VATSIM, especially outside of VATSEA division.
