Position: ATC Training Director
Division: VATMEX Division
Reporting to: VATMEX Divisional Director [VATMEX1]
Responsibilities: The VATMEX Division is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of ATC Training Director. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the new training strategy for the Division. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive training policy.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive training materials.
- Training new instructors.
- Ensuring timely and high-standard training across the division.
- Ensuring compliance with VATMEX and VATSIM policies.
- Guiding new members through the ATC Training process, providing a welcoming and informative experience.
- Managing training-related duties, including Controller Practical Examinations if required.
- Generating regular reports on the division’s training status.
- Maintaining an active online presence within the division.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the position:
- Hold a minimum C1 ATC rating.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a member of VATMEX or willing to become a member.
- Possess familiarity with ICAO operations (knowledge of Mexican operations is a plus).
- Maintain good standing within the VATSIM Network.
- Demonstrate past experience in staff roles or other managerial positions.
- Commit to maintaining a strong online presence throughout the appointment.
- Be fluent in both English and Spanish.
