[VACANCY] vACC Director - Indonesia

Job Description
The vACC Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations and management of a Virtual Area Control Center (vACC) within the VATSIM network. This position requires a combination of leadership, organisational, and communication skills to ensure the effective functioning of the vACC and its adherence to VATSIM/VATSEA policies and standards.

The applicant is desirable to be able to commit for at least 1 year and the applicant should take this into consideration before applying.

Reports to:
Division Director, VATSEA

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the vACC team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the vACC in alignment with VATSIM’s mission and values.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the vACC operations.
  1. Administration:
  • Manage and oversee all administrative aspects of the vACC, including membership applications, training programs, and disciplinary actions of which, can be delegated to staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with VATSIM policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of member activity, training progress, and operational statistics.
  • Submit on-time quarterly reports to the Division
  1. Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the vACC and VATSEA.
  • Communicate regularly with vACC members, providing updates, announcements, and guidance as needed.
  • Foster effective communication channels within the vACC community to facilitate collaboration and teamwork.
  1. Operations Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the vACC, including the scheduling of ATC positions, event planning, and airspace management.

Position Requirements:

  1. Candidate must reside in Indonesia vACC, Southeast Asia Division for at least 6 months.
  2. Ideal candidate would hold at least an C1 rating, while higher ratings will be considered as a plus.
  3. Must be a member in good standing within the VATSIM Network (no serious disciplinary action taken within the last 6 months).
  4. Although not mandatory, ideal candidate would hold at least P1 rating.
  5. Must be a member in good standing with the network.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Ability to work as an individual and part of a team.
  8. Able to dedicate sufficient time to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
