San Juan CERAP (ZSU) Training Administrator Vacancy Announcement
Position: Training Administrator
Location: San Juan CERAP (ZSU)
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per week+, and required quarterly controller hours to maintain facility membership
**Report to: **San Juan CERAP Air Traffic Manager and VATCAR Training Director (VATCAR3)
Application Deadline: Open until filled.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintaining an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
Attending staff meetings.
Organizing and attending training staff meetings.
Maintaining, updating and managing the training program and related materials.
Duties defined in the ZSU-GEN-100.
Developing, updating and maintaining sweatbox files.
Completing special projects as assigned by the ATM and VATCAR3
Oversee and manage student assignments to training staff
All other responsibilities which help to accomplish the mission, goals and vision of ZSU
Requirements:
Hold a Controller 1 (C1) or above.
Have no significant disciplinary record.
Have no history of unprofessional behavior.
Be an active member of the network in good standing on the VATSIM network.
Have a strong knowledge of the United States ATC system (NAS), VATSIM ATC system, and FAA JO 7110.65.
Hold no other staff position on any competing networks.
Be a ZSU home controller at the time of appointment (or willing to transfer upon selection).
Preferred Qualifications:
Instructor 1 (I1) Rating.
Familiarity with the San Juan CERAP.
Understanding of the ZSU training program.
Prior staff experience.
Prior teaching/education experience.
Interested candidates should understand the requirements of the position and the time commitment aspect associated with the undertaking of a senior staff role within the facility.
