San Juan CERAP (ZSU) Facility Engineer (FE) Vacancy Announcement
Position: Facility Engineer
Location: San Juan CERAP (ZSU)
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per week+, and required quarterly controller hours to maintain facility membership
Report to: San Juan CERAP Deputy Air Traffic Manager (DATM)
Application Deadline: Open until filled.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintaining an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
Attending staff meetings.
Maintains ZSU sector, position and alias files for Tower Cab, vSTARS and vERAM
Updating CRC by adding new Fix Labels when required.
Stays up-to-date with new procedures and airspace changes
Support the Training Administrator (TA) with sweatbox files development as needed
Completing special projects as assigned by the ATM and DATM
Duties defined in the ZSU-GEN-100.
All other responsibilities which help to accomplish the mission, goals and vision of ZSU
Requirements:
Hold a Student 3 (S3) or above.
Have no significant disciplinary record.
Have no history of unprofessional behavior.
Be an active member of the network in good standing on the VATSIM network.
Have a strong knowledge of the United States ATC system (NAS), VATSIM ATC system, and FAA JO 7110.65.
Hold no other staff position on any competing networks.
Be a ZSU home controller at the time of appointment (or willing to transfer upon selection).
Willingness to learn new skills is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold a Controller 1 (C1) or above.
Familiarity with the San Juan CERAP.
Prior staff experience.
Technology oriented person.
Real world aviation experience is an asset.
