Khaleej vACC – Director of the ATC Training Department (ACCKHLJ3)

Position Duties:
The Khaleej vACC ATC Training Director is responsible for managing the entire training infrastructure of the vACC and ensuring that all air traffic control standards, policies, and procedures are maintained to the highest possible level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day ATC training operations across Bahrain and Kuwait FIRs.
- Ensure compliance with VATSIM, VATMENA, and vACC training policies and standards.
- Develop and maintain operational training documents, SOPs, and mentoring structure.
- Manage, appoint, and support mentors and instructors across the vACC.
- Coordinate with the vACC Director and Deputy Director to ensure seamless integration between operations and training.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the vACC Director.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Solid understanding of VATSIM, VATMENA, and subdivisional policies, particularly the Global Controller Administration Policy (GCAP).
- Strong knowledge of ATC training methodologies and mentoring standards.
- Prior experience as a Mentor or Instructor is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Active and in good standing with VATSIM.
- Hold a minimum rating of Controller 1 (C1) for at least 6 months.
- Exceptions may be considered for experienced S3 controllers training toward C1.
- Member of the VATSIM Middle East & North Africa Division (VATMENA) and Khaleej vACC, or willing to transfer upon selection.
- Availability to dedicate at least 7 hours per week to training activities.
- Able to commit to the position for a minimum of 6 months.
