[VACANCY] Arabian vACC - Director of Marketing Department

We’re looking for a creative and driven leader to manage the Arabian vACC’s marketing, events, and community engagement.

The Arabian vACC is now seeking candidates for the following position:


Arabian vACC Director of Marketing Department – ACCARB5


Position Duties

The role of the Arabian vACC Technical Department Director entails overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of all vACC technical systems, ensuring they remain secure, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage vACC social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X).
  • Maintain Discord social channels and Events Calendar.
  • Create and publish vACC events, including collaborations with other vACCs, Divisions, and Regions.
  • Design banners, posts, and promotional content for events and announcements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to promote training, events, and activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of marketing staff.
  • Manage vACC Event ATC rostering.

Preferred Technical Skills & Languages

  • Skilled in image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP, Canva).
  • Ability to create visually appealing banners, posts, and media.
  • Strong understanding of social media engagement and marketing strategies.
  • Event planning and coordination experience.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 17 years.
  • Hold a minimum VATSIM ATC rating of S1 (higher ratings are a plus).
  • Be a resident of the Arabian vACC (or willing to transfer if selected).
  • Demonstrated experience in social media and/or marketing, or other relevant marketing fields.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of marketing staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Availability to dedicate a minimum of 5-6 hours per week to vACC activities.
  • Commitment to serve a minimum term of 12 months.
  • Active and in good standing with VATSIM.
