The Pakistan vACC is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and proactive individual to join our leadership team as Deputy Director (ACCPAK2). This role is vital in supporting the growth, administration, and operational excellence of VATSIM Pakistan.

Position: Deputy Director (ACCPAK2)
Location: Remote / Online (within the VATSIM Network)
Reports to: Director (ACCPAK1)

Role Overview:

As Deputy Director, you will assist the Director in overseeing all aspects of vACC operations, including controller development, events, administration, and community engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with the vACC team to ensure that all activities are aligned with the strategic goals of VATSIM and the needs of our local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director (ACCPAK1) in managing daily operations of the vACC.
  • Represent the vACC in divisional meetings in the absence of the Director.
  • Assist in implementing vACC policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Help coordinate events and promotional activities in collaboration with relevant staff.
  • Submit quarterly performance reports of the vACC to the Division with the assistance of staff.
  • Act as a liaison between vACC staff, controllers, and pilots to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and development strategies for the vACC.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing with VATSIM and hold at least an S3 rating (or higher).
  • Demonstrated involvement in VATSIM ATC operations and/or vACC leadership.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and lead by example.
  • Passion for developing the Pakistan vACC and enhancing its presence within the network.
  • Availability to dedicate adequate time weekly to administrative duties. Able to commit for this role for a minimum of 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous or current experience in a vACC/vARTCC staff role.
  • Familiarity with VATWA Division policies and procedures.
  • Experience in controller training, event planning, or community management.
  • Knowledge of Pakistan airspace and operations.
  • Experience in sector file management is a strong plus.
