The VATSIM Special Operations Administration (VSOA) is seeking applications for the positions of VSOA of Public Relations Officers.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Director and/or Deputy Director of Special Operations in developing a VSOA public relations plan.
- Assisting the Director and/or Deputy Director of Special Operations with VSOA development via means of consultation, working groups, regional discussions, VSOA discussions concerning planned events, training, simple A to B fly-ins, etc.
- Creating photo and/or video content for all VATSIM social media channels and platforms
- Developing new and engaging advertising campaigns and VSOA event calendars for all VATSIM VSOA organizations
- Any other tasks assigned by the Director of Special Operations
Responsible to:
- Director of Special Operations
- Deputy Director Special Operations
Position Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older, without exception
- Be a member of good standing in VATSIM for more than two years at the time of application.
- Reasonable availability to attend all scheduled meetings for the duration of the meeting and engage daily in email and voice communications with other VSO Organizations.
- Have knowledge and experience in VATSIM Special Operations.
- Be fluent in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have experience with platforms such as Discord, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
- Have knowledge of Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or other photo and video editing software)
