I’m looking for some assistance with an issue I’ve been having with attempting to utilize a shared cockpit. This is my first post in the forum so I hope I’ve selected the correct category. I have a friend who set up a Vatsim account and I my plan was to use my second computer to run a shared cockpit using Your Controls. However, after doing a test run connected to the network, with my friend logged into vpilot on the second computer, he received an email stating that his account had been disabled because it was a duplicate account. Does anyone know why the account was identified as a duplicate account? I submitted a support ticket yesterday but have not heard anything back as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just to be sure, he logged in with his own account, not with yours, right? If so he either has an old account that he made some time ago, or the system flagged the account as a duplicate of yours because the connection came from the same place as your original connection. But whatever may be the case, here in the forums no one can troubleshoot that, these things can only be resolved via support tickets.
Yes, he logged into his own account, which was a new account. I did submit a ticket but did not get any sort of confirmation and I haven’t heard back yet so I’m not convinced it actually went through. Thanks for your reply.
I do not show any evidence that you filed a ticket. However, if your friend is having troubles with his account, he should simply comply with the guidance he was provided when the account was suspended. If your friend is still having issues, your friend should file a ticket.
I’m not sure what I did wrong. I followed the links to the support page and I thought I filled out all of the required fields, then hit submit. I was expecting some sort of confirmation but did not receive anything, so I tried to resubmit. Regardless, thanks for your response.
