Why does it have to be so hard to set up Swift? I couldn’t get on Vatsim 'cos my aircraft was ‘invalid’. Had to run through a list of hundreds of a/c till I found mine. Then got asked for colours which were not actually in the options and then finally I had to log into a data base or something - I forget now 'cos I’ve been answering so many questions. But the form wouldn’t accept my login. Now I’ve lost all that data. Tried to get into Discord, it tells me my email is already used. That must mean I had signed up before but I keep being asked to finish my sign up. I’m not given the option to sign in. I’ve wasted three hours. Came on Avsim forum and just happened to see a question from 2023 to Swift with a very nasty sarcastic response from a Director or someone big nob from Swift. I’m not surprised at the problems I’ve been having if that’s their attitude. I’m just surprised that people bother to use it. p.s. I’m coming back to Vatsim after several years.
There is a video tutorial on how to set up swift… Never had a problem if you follow the instructions
Thanx for that nebojsa but I prefer to read a manual than watch a video 'cos I can’t have the sound up or I’ll disturb the people around me and I’m really old fashioned. But it’s a good suggestion. I think I’ll have a look at it anyway. Maybe learn a new skill.

Did this weekend nothing else, than to install swift and bring it to work like I had done a few years ago.
Nothing helped, but at least the instructions here: Just follow it exactly.
Most important: Don’t try the mapping tool, there is nothing to do!
You just have to have some models in the database, either the aircraft in XPlane or - and that’s always good to be done before installing swift - to get CSL’s from bluebell or X-CSL (instructions therefore see the given link).

Thanks Kai, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one having trouble. I noticed that it had my old Buffalo Airways callsign which I haven’t used for years and I couldn’t change it. So I uninstalled and deleted every Swift file I could find then re-installed according to the instructions and damn me the Buffalo callsign came up again. But this time I was able to change it. Thanks for the help and sympathy.
