Recently (on two occasions) while flying on network, voice comms will cut out between controllers and pilots. Today (12/9) in particular, flying from CLE to IAH, comms worked just fine till about 10 min prior to landing. IAH could TX but was unable to RX any comms from aircraft. IAH ground was able to TX to everyone, except I noticed only aircraft that spawned at IAH were able to TX to GND.
Has there been a recent history of server issues?
NOTE my XPILOT didn’t notify me of any voice issues, I press PTT and I can see the TX illuminate green, but no carrier, or voice actually transmitted. ALSO NOTE I wasn’t the only plane having this problem
I had the same issues yesterday flying from CYUL to CYHZ. I was beginning to think it may be my microphone. Hopefully this is a one off and things return back to normal soon.
On 2 occasions recently I’ve had a controller unable to hear me after being on their frequency for some period of time. I can clearly see the transmit signal from vPilot, and my mic tests out fine, so it’s certainly not my setup.
Disconnecting from, and immediately reconnecting to, the network fixed the issue both times.
Note I did NOT restart vPilot itself, so the issue might very well be network related instead of vPilot related.
