What is a virtual airline anyway?
A virtual airline (abbreviated VA) is a virtual organization that uses flight simulation to simulate the operation of an airline or its economic system.
These are either real airlines, which are then simulated accordingly, or they are fictitious (made up) VA’s.
The FlyHoliday story
On August 31, 2022, the virtual airline FlyHoliday-Airlines was founded in Paderborn (Germany).
The airline’s appearance concept was largely based on the branding of the company sonnenklar.tv.
At the end of October, the CEO at the time left the airline head over heels after he was tipped off about possible copyright infringements involving the use of the sonnenklar.tv. Logo were made.
FlyHoliday was integrated into the NordFly Group and continues to operate as an independent sister vacation airline.
Unfortunately, negotiations with sonnenklar.tv to use the logo were unsuccessful, after which the airline underwent a rebranding.
What kind of virtual airline is FlyHoliday?
The airline operates charter and vacation flights within Europe, flying mainly to destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and the Middle East.
And why should I fly for a virtual airline?
Surely you started your career as an IVAO pilot like almost everyone:
Simulator purchased or already had, Pilot Client and the MTL’s/CSL’s installed, airline selected, flight plan created, filed and off you flew.
A great thing, but not very challenging over time and this is where the concept of a virtual airline comes in.
A virtual airline gives you the opportunity to integrate yourself into a “company”, to get in contact with other virtual pilots and to offer you new challenges through tours, VA specific routes and events.

Doesn’t flying for FlyHoliday take a lot more time?.

You might initially think so, but the FlyHoliday system is designed to take as little time as possible and works on a simple principle after flight entry: Click and Fly.
Only after setting the parking brake and switching off the engines, you have to open our ACARS (Tracking Software) again and finish your flight. Afterwards you will directly receive a statistical analysis / overview of your flight with various parameters.
