The VATSIM Pilot Training Department is pleased to announce that an enhanced New Member Orientation Course, and associated Exam, will go into effect over the holiday period.
The updated course more thoroughly articulates VATSIM’s expectations of its members. We project that the course and exam will take most people approximately 60-120 minutes to complete, but, this will vary depending on each individual’s learning style and the amount of aviation knowledge they bring into the process.
Our aim is that the course will provide more proper guidance for new VATSIM members, which will enhance the network experience for existing members as well. Existing members may also enroll in the course, for their curiosity and enrichment, at learn.vatsim.net.
All need to do it before go online. I´m not done with Radio Navigation course and now i can’t find it in learn.vatsim but when i try go via history link it says
" You don’t have permission to view this list of courses."
How so?
Since you completed the previous course, you are still able to connect to the network whenever you like. I am thrilled that you are taking the new course, and hope you find it meaningful!
May I ask you please to file a support ticket with the Pilot Training Department at support.vatsim.net and let them know the troubles you are having. This will ensure a closed-loop look at the issue.
I took the new member orientation course recently. I broke up my time to complete over a few days, and the content all seemed relevant. I was surprised there was no feedback form after completing the course. In fact, I could not find anywhere on the learn.vatsim.net website to submit any feedback. I think it would be good addition to have a feedback form somewhere to collect ideas for future improvements/enhancements.
