Hello, I have a question about taxi instructions.
I was at gate 406 and was being pushed back toward the north.
(Please refer to the photo.)
At this point, the tower told me to take the taxi right S and hold at B3.
Question
Where should I proceed in this instruction? Should I proceed via Taxiway S to SB3?
What does “right S” mean? Taxiway S is on my left, so I’m confused about what “right” means.
Does the “right alpha, left echo” instruction in ATC mean “right turn on alpha, left turn on echo”?

If I was in that situation I would have taxied along Tango, turned Right on Sierra, turned left on B3 and hold short.
Ideally, the instructions would start with the end point maybe like, “BAW351, Ruwnay 27L, Taxi via Tango, Sierra and Bravo Three, Hold short.

Taxi via T then turn R on to S then left and stop at SB3.
ATC can eliminate Taxiways where its is obvious its the only route you can take, in this example, in order to get to your first instruction R on S you must take T, therefore T can be elimnated from the instruction.
