Deputy Divisional Technical Director (VATMENA61)
VATMENA is actively searching for a Deputy Technical Director. Reporting to the Division Technical Director (VATMENA6), you will lead the technical team, shaping ongoing projects and even pioneering new services while fortifying existing web services. Membership in VATMENA is not required for this role.
Your Responsibilities:

- Technical Project Management
As Deputy Technical Director, you’ll steer all VATMENA information systems, encompassing websites, databases, communication services, and applications. Alongside the Divisional Technical Director, you’ll hire and mentor the VATMENA Technical Team. Your role also extends beyond the mentioned responsibilities.
Our tech stack includes:
- Typescript
- React/Next.js 13 (including the app router)
- PHP/Laravel (recommended, but not mandatory)
- Golang
- Docker
- Vercel
- Planetscale (MySQL)
- TailwindCSS
To qualify, you should:
- Have a minimum of one year of VATSIM membership.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Maintain a clean disciplinary record for at least one years before applying.
- Showcase experience in a technical role, even outside the network. While not mandatory, real-world tech sector experience is preferred.
