Position Duties:
The role of the Pakistan vACC Deputy Director entails assisting the director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the subdivision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the vACC to ensure smooth functioning and efficient operations.
- Providing oversight and support to all vACC departments to ensure their effective functioning and coordination.
- In coordination with the vACC Director, appointing staff members based on the vACC Constitution, ensuring suitable candidates are selected for staff positions within the vACC.
- Reviewing, monitoring, and developing vACC policies to ensure compliance with divisional policies and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conducting and reporting a comprehensive vACC Quarterly Report to the Division, highlighting the vACC’s performance, achievements, challenges, and future plans.
- Conducting bi-weekly report meetings with the subdivisional department directors to review and assess the progress made within the vACC.
- Maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the vACC, including managing the website and social media platforms, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to vACC members and the wider community.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the vACC’s operations and services by identifying areas for enhancement, gathering feedback from members, and proposing innovative ideas.
- Representing the vACC in interactions with external parties, such as other vACCs, virtual airlines, and aviation organizations, to foster positive relationships and promote collaboration.
- Maintaining an active and engaging online presence within the vACC, utilizing forums, social media platforms, and other communication channels to interact with vACC members and controllers, address inquiries, and provide support as needed.
- Fulfilling any other duties assigned by the Division or vACC Director, which may include participating in Division-wide initiatives, representing the vACC in meetings or events, or assisting in special projects.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of subdivisional, divisional and VATSIM Policies.
- Ability to maintain a strong online presence throughout the appointment (Excluding dedication requirements)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Urdu.
- Active and in good standing with VATSIM.
- Hold a minimum rating of Student 3 (S3).
- Membership in VATSIM West Asia or Pakistan vACC Resident, or willing to transfer if selected.
- Availability to dedicate a minimum of 7 hours per week towards the vACC. No exceptions.
- Able to commit to the position for a minimum of 1 year.
- Previous experience in staff roles and managerial positions will be considered as a bonus.
