IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A SUBDIVISIONAL STAFF POSITION. THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION REGARDING HAJJ OPS ONLY. NO APPOINTED MEMBER MAY BE INVOLVED IN THE SAUDI ARABIAN VACC’s STAFF TASKS.
The Saudi Arabian vACC is now seeking candidates for the following position:
Saudi Arabian vACC Hajj OPS Planning Team Member – HAJJPLN
Position Duties:
The Hajj OPS Planning Team Member entails will play a vital role in ensuring the success of this major event.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the coordination of particular event legs.
- Participating in meetings with the Hajj OPS Planning Team.
- Collaborating with relevant divisions/subdivisions as needed.
- Liaising with external parties like virtual airlines and giveaway partners as necessary.
- Being scheduled as an event coordinator on the day of the event to manage situations and support participants.
- Completing additional duties assigned by the Hajj OPS team leader, events and marketing director, or vACC Board.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of subdivisional, divisional and VATSIM Policies.
- Previous experience in basic route planning is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
- Active and in good standing with VATSIM.
- Hold a minimum rating of an S1 - Developing Controller/P3 - Commercial Pilot License.
- Membership in VATSIM Middle East and North Africa Division is NOT REQUIRED.
- Availability to dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week to this position’s duties
- Able to commit to the position until the date of the next edition of Hajj OPS (July 25th).
- Availability on the day of the event is highly desirable.
