Can't connect with swift & wrong callsign shows

I’ve kinda asked this before but didn’t get an answer that worked. Sometimes when I fire up swift I get online but have an old Buffalo Airways callsign which can’t seem to change. It was suggested I read the manual. I did that, there was quite a bit on changing passwords but nothin on changing a callsign. It was then suggested that I fire up flight sim and swift as administrator. Tried that, made it worse. My aircraft details don’t show on Connect, only a red outline where the a/c should be AND the Buffalo callsign. It was suggested that I’d get a faster response if I went on Discord. So I did and received no response there at all. I realise that you guys have a life and you do this out of your love for flight sim but really, I’ve spent over a week now trying to get online. I’ve managed to make one short flight but by the time I did that, all controllers had gone home to their warm beds and loved ones. It was soooo simple with Squawkbox. Oh, that’s another thing. I go through the configuration process and get to the end an a message comes up saying ‘aircraft string is missing’ … if only I knew what that meant I might be able to do something about it.

Hi David,

edit: I did reply to your question on our Discord, but you never replied there. Can you have a look?

Thanks Andreas, I shall look again.

Perhaps obvious, but only mentioned as a possibility; Swift won’t let you change callsign while connected to the network.

Thanks, that’s a good point 'cos I did waste a lot of time trying to change it while online.
