As Aerosoft has announced, their NavDataPro product line will no longer exist by the end of this year.
Many of the vACCs & divisions utilise GNG · AeroNav Association (aero-nav.com) to compile & distribute their sector files and associated data. This is built on using the data provided by Aerosoft NavDataPro.
My question is, once Aerosoft stop producing the data behind this, is there a contingency plan to provide the data to Aeronav GNG?
Without the data into Aeronav, many divisions will lose a lot of functionality.
That thread you are linking to is invisible even if I am logged in on their site, probably only visible to dev team members or something, but has there been any new development on the situation?
Last info was that they are trying to find a good solution, but if they can’t find any, controllers may need a Navigraph subscription to get up to date nav data (and unfortunately, having out of date nav data will most likely not be a feasible solution for a variety of reasons meaning that people who cannot afford a Navigraph subscription will not be able/allowed to control in many places…); an update on their progress in finding a suitable solution was promised for the beginning of November, but there has been nothing more as of yet.
