Advisory or CTAF?

Quick question. Are we using Advisory or CTAF now? Flying out of KJFK some pilots are using 119,1 and others are using 122.8. I have not heard anything official from VATSIM on this.

Yes, There is a trial phase going on for CTAF in some of the divisions.

We have removed the term UNICOM in the CoC for the more encompassing term of advisory. CTAF is an advisory frequency, just like 122.8 is.

Rahul is correct in that VATUSA, VATCAN, VATCAR, & VATMEX are all using CTAF now as their advisory frequency.
