xPilot is not recognizing the CSL aircraft

X-Plane 12:

After starting xPilot, the following error message appears:

Aircraft Type Code Database Error: Unable to write

Version check error: Unable to write

I then uninstalled and reinstalled xPilot, but the same error message still appears. The CSL directory is included in the plugin with the default aircraft, and there’s a link to this directory in the X-Plane 12 plugin manager. What could be the problem?

When filling out the xPilot settings, I also have the problem that the VATSIM server option doesn’t appear automatically in the dropdown menu. The line remains blank.

Not sure, as I don’t use xPilot, but one thought regarding the first point - are you sure you’re using xPilot as an Administrator?

Regarding servers, one no longer selects their own server, VATSIM evaluates the best server at the time you’re looking to connect and connects you to the best option.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand that I no longer need to select a server. Previously, it was set “automatically,” and this was indicated in this line. However, this line is now empty; it no longer says “automatically.”

You mentioned you don’t use xPilot. What alternatives are there to xPilot?

I don’t use xPilot because I don’t use xPlane…
