[VACANCY] VATEUD Community Director

Good day,

Following the resignation of Nicolas Vanruysseveldt from his position, the following vacancy is now open.

VATEUD Community Director
The VATEUD Community Department oversees and manages events & social media as well as communications throughout the VATSIM Europe Division and creates guidelines to ensure high and similar quality standards division-wide.

Reports to: VATEUD Division Director

Position Duties:

  • Sit on the VATEUD Board
  • Definition, approval and regulation of VATEUD events.
  • Organisation of events within the division (and in coordination with the local vACCs).
  • Management, coordination and creation (guidance thereof) of VATEUD events.
  • Overseeing and assisting the vACC Event Departments.
  • Management of external/internal communications.
  • Management of VATEUD social media accounts.

VATEUD Board Duties:

  • Preparation of a quarterly department report to the VATEUD Division Director.
  • Attend VATEUD Board meetings.
  • Assist the Division Director in contributing to VATEUD policies and plans.
  • Be active on email and Discord.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must be a member in good standing with the network.
  • Is expected to be able to commit at least 5 hours per week to the role.
  • Must show awareness of Air Traffic Control operations and hold at least a C1 rating.
  • Will be able to manage a small team of people.
  • Would have previous staff roles or other experience/awareness of events/communicational aspects
  • Would have experience in graphic design (banners, logos, general branding).
  • Would have experience with streaming software/platforms.
  • Would have the ability to communicate clearly through different mediums to different people of different cultures.
  • Would be fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are an advantage.
