Hi pilots,
I guess probably this isn’t possible, but is there any chance to implement the vPilot while flying with MSFS24 on GeForce Now? I cannot buy a new computer now, and actually don’t want to.
Hi pilots,

What benefit would putting vPilot on Geforce Now be? Also it is highly unlikely Nvidia would approve putting vPilot on Geforce Now.
Wouldn’t it be so that Haluk could fly on VATSIM? (I don’t use GeForce Now or any other cloud gaming platform, so I may be missing something, but that seems like the only reason to want to have vPilot installed on a cloud gaming system.)
A quick search suggests that the only software you can install on GeForce Now is titles available from your Steam account. So that would prevent installing vPilot unfortunately.
In fact, it can possible if vPilot natively supports the MSFS platform by itself. For this, we should be able to log in the vPilot directly on MSFS. Maybe in the future.
I assume you’re referring to if vPilot was rewritten as an MSFS WASM module so that it would be part of the MSFS process. That would require rewriting vPilot from the ground up using C/C++ and even then, I’m pretty sure that WASM modules cannot interact with audio hardware on the system since they run in an isolated environment within the sim. So there would be no way to connect to the VATSIM voice servers.
Yeah. This is why I said “in the future”.
But I’m sure many PS and XBOX users want this too (I’m not talking about those who could turn this place into a circus, of course).
It’s not possible now and I doubt that it will become possible in the future. WASM modules are very restricted in what they can connect to outside the sim and I can’t see them relaxing those security concerns in the future. And even if they did, we would need to decide whether or not it’s worth the effort to rewrite vPilot as a WASM module just to get access to the more casual simmer that uses platforms like XBOX. Some people are glad that MSFS on XBOX is not supported. ![]()
Oh… Then, we have to wait to developing the Geforce Now and being able to customazible.
And yes, I can completely understand why the community is happy. ![]()
