You’re simply not correct. I’ve been supporting supervisor checking in my previous posts and still do. If people feel harrashed by getting a post from a SUP, they are way too sensitive. Connections are being abused, policing is the only way to reducing it to a level we can live with. And that’s too much for you feel free to fly off line, where noone will distract you. And I am not holding any official role in the VATSIM organisation (besides being a vitual pilot and controller).
Perhaps you do not mind a plane crossing though you at FL380 - no harm done. Yes nobody dies from it, but if you fly trough someone, who forgot to disable crash protetion, his flight might be terminated prematurely because of you.
Anyway, this is about supervisor doing their job, live with it. It doesn’t hurt you to give a thumps up to the sup, not even if you have to do it twice on an 8-hour flight. Why so sensitive? While noone get hurt when another plane flies through you path, you also do not die from responding to a sup. I honestly do not understand howcome this subject is now going on and on forever. Live with it or leave!
How old are you? 16?
I‘m pretty sure my age is none of your business!
I‘m very well aware of the fact that i have to live with it as obviously i’m in no position to change any rules on my own but that does not mean that i can not express my displeasure about it here in the forum!
Just because you guys dont want to hear or read it doesnt strip me of my right to express my feelings about it.
Is an ad hominem really appropriate?
How many posts are we away from Godwin’s Law cutting in?
For a discussion that centres around a “Code of Conduct” It is essential that the code of conduct for participation in the forums be followed. To wit:
"You may wish to respond by disagreeing. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:
- Name-calling
- Ad hominem attacks
- Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
- Knee-jerk contradiction
Instead, provide thoughtful insights that improve the conversation."
It’s way past time for this topic to be closed.
so… you can say whatever you want, but when people challenging you by saying whatever they want to say… you get annoyed?
cool double standard
No, Dave, it is not your place to police opinion. How would you like to be stifled? I’ll wager that you would be mightily ticked off. If you don’t like it. Maybe scroll and read another thread? I won’t draw attention to the obvious conclusions that can be drawn from your censorious post.
Nonsense! Anyways i‘ve had enough of it! I‘m out of here!
Oh and btw yes i did not insult anyone personally and was fully in my right to express my anger about this constant hardcore enforcement of a silly unimportant rule! And yes you dudes have no right at all to then insult me for that by calling me 16 years of age and also i dont need a smartass sup to tell me i can fly offline or how privileged i am to be allowed to use the network! No coc point is written in stone and every single one should be open to discussion once they become more annoying than useful! Period! However thats not possible with stubborn people like you dudes who are obviously deeply in love with each and every one of their silly rules! At least i now know what kind of people „work“ at VATSIM and i‘m very disappointed. So long
It’s called flogging a dead horse.
