I am having issues with the PTT function. I could not find the documentation following the link but ran through the FAQs, but still could not find a solution. I connected to vpilot as an administrator and when I get to the PTT section in the Settings, a key has already been assigned. When I click on “Set a different PTT Key or Button”, it just cycles trhough all my TCA Throttle buttons continuously. When I click on “Clear Current PTT Assignment”, it assigns on randomly. I tried to use the key that is assigned but that doesn’t work either, the “TX” buuton doesn’t light up. I can hear ATC but they cannot hear me.
Can someone please help? This only recently happened. It was fine before.
1 - disconnect all the hardware that you don’t need, leaving only the one that was what you want to set as PTT
2 - set the button you want as PTT
3 - reconnect everything else
A lot of hardware is constantly sending signals to the computer, and vpilot picks that up. Doing the steps above cuts that and allows you to set your preferred button
I did what you suggested in (1) and only have the TCA throttle attached to my PC as the button is on the TCA. However, vpilot still cycles through all the buttons. I tried to use the button that it automatically assigned and that doesn’t work either.
I wonder if installing an older version of vpilot might work? Then I need to see where to find an older version.
